This week's question - Have you had a character that disappointed you? One that you fell in love with and then "broke up" with later on in either the series or a stand-alone book? Tell us about him or her.
Lots of old school memories for me lately. Grianne Ohmsford - the Isle Witch, antagonist and protagonist of Terry Brooks' series The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara and High Druid of Shannara respectively broke my heart. In six books, this recent descendant of the Ohmsford line went from uber scary and fierce to ... well, I can't say without spoiling the story line for people who haven't read it yet. Suffice it to say, because of that storyline, I have not been able to pick up another Terry Brooks novel to read.
It makes me sad and angry just thinking about it! I hope you're all reading more fun things with better memories!

I have not even heard of that series, but I hate it when it doesn't go the way you think it should, at least without proper motivation/explanation. New follower and thanks for checking my blog out! :-)
